Make the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum part of your family’s holiday tradition! The Museum has teamed up with UCHealth to bring the residents of Olympic City, USA a day of fun!
Prior to the annual Festival of Lights Parade that takes place in downtown Colorado Springs, the Museum will be hosting a Festival of Lights holiday celebration. From noon until 5pm, the Museum will have athlete meet & greets, a beer garden, indoor curling, artifact demonstrations and even service puppies.
And that’s not all! To make your holiday visit a little sweeter, Museum regular admission tickets have been lowered to just $10 all day! And in the adjacent parking lot, the Park Union District will have a holiday tree farm and various activations along Sierra Madre Street and Vermijo Avenue.
Festival of Lights Celebration Schedule
9am-6 pm: $10 Museum admission tickets
12-5pm: beer garden; indoor curling; artifact demonstration; local singing/instrument performance groups; food trucks; vendor, maker, and non-profit booths; Christmas tree farm; hayrides
12-1pm: Xiao Gong, Paralympian (2020) Tokyo in shooting
1-2:30pm: Canine Companions
2-3pm: Ginny Thrasher, Olympian (2016) Rio in shooting
3-4pm: Samantha (Schultz) Achterberg, Olympian (2020) in modern pentathlon
4-5pm: Hailey Danz, 2x Paralympian (2016 and 2020) in triathlon
4-5pm: Kendall Gretsch, 3x Paralympian (2018, 2020 and 2022) in Nordic skiing and triathlon
5:50pm: Festival of Lights Parade
Once the activities at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum conclude, we encourage everyone to check out the Festival of Lights Parade, which starts at 5:50 p.m. The parade features nearly 100 beautifully lighted and decorated entries that will compete for top honors in their class.
