COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – As schools close their doors for Spring Break, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum is gearing up for an action-packed week of celebration and exploration. From March 25 through March 31, the museum will be open seven days a week, offering visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Olympic and Paralympic history and excellence.
The highlight of the week will be the Spring Into Victory celebration on Saturday, March 30. Starting at 11 a.m., guests will have the chance to meet Team USA athletes – including Olympic figure skating bronze medalist Gracie Gold – interact with memorabilia during artifact demonstrations, and even hold an authentic Olympic torch. At 4 p.m., the National Wheelchair Basketball Association will be naming its men’s and women’s teams competing at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games in the museum’s atrium. And thanks to our friends at Alpine Bank and their COS Crew, Colorado Residents can experience the museum for free starting at 2 p.m. with a valid Colorado ID.
The USOPM would also like to send thanks for the generous support of the Pikes Peak Children’s Museum and the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region with their help in the specially curated Kids Zone, where children can unleash their creativity by designing and decorating their own DIY medals, participate in interactive games, strike a pose in the photo booth, and even write letters to their favorite Team USA athletes.
In addition to the day’s activities, guests can enjoy a guided tour led by knowledgeable museum guides. At 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., these tours offer a deep dive into the rich history and enduring legacies of America’s greatest athletes, providing a comprehensive understanding of the Olympic and Paralympic movements.
All these Spring Break events are included with the purchase of a museum ticket, offering exceptional value for visitors seeking an unforgettable experience.
Don’t miss out on the excitement this Spring Break – join us at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum for a week of inspiration, education, and celebration. Visit usopm.org to take part.
