U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum Hosts 100 Days Out Celebration on April 20

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.Join us for the 100 Days Out Celebration at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum on April 20, where anticipation meets excitement in the countdown to the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. This full-day event features a range of activities and experiences, allowing guests to feel the spirit and excitement of the Games here in Olympic City USA. 

The day’s events include: 

10 – 11 a.m. // In Conversation with Elvin Kibet and author Johanna Garton of “All In Stride” 
Pro runner Elvin Kibet and acclaimed author Johanna Garton will discuss Johanna’s latest book, “All in Stride” from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., delving into the inspiring journey of Elvin and her husband, 2016 distance track and field Olympian Shadrack Kipchirchir. 

11 a.m. – 2 p.m. // Meet Olympian Kara Winger 
Kara Winger (track and field), a four-time Olympian who resides in Olympic City USA, will meet guests between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., bringing her medals and even her javelin. 

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. // Artifact Demonstrations 
Our experienced tour guides will give guests a behind-the-scenes look at artifacts not typically on exhibit. This unique opportunity is offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the atrium. 

12 – 3:30 p.m. // Pikes Peak Children’s Museum Kids’ Zone 

The Pikes Peak Children’s Museum hosts a Kids’ Zone from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., featuring activities like obstacle courses and torch-making. 

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. // Trivia Sheet 
At check-in, guests can take a Trivia Sheet, testing their Olympic and Paralympic knowledge throughout the 12 galleries. Visitors will receive a complimentary truffle in the museum store for completing the trivia sheet. (While supplies last.)

3 – 5 p.m. // Exclusive Colorado Resident Offer 
Colorado residents can purchase admission tickets for $5 each with a valid Colorado ID. Tickets are available for purchase both in-person and online. Out-of-state guests can also enjoy the Museum for only $10 per ticket when accompanied by a Colorado resident.
