Experience the Games year-round at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs

Now that summer is over, students (and teachers) are headed back to school! But you don’t have to be in school to take a field trip to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs. For questions about field trips and group rates, reach out to groupsales@usopm.org for more information. 

Whether you are a history buff interested in learning more about the 1980 boycott or an artist looking to explore new art forms, the Museum has something for everyone!

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum is one of the most accessible and inclusive museums in the world. Guests can customize their sport preferences and accessibility needs for a tour that is uniquely their own.

All events and other offerings are included with the purchase of a general admission ticket to the museum.

Youth Sports Giving Day with FREE ADMISSION

September 6 @ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Join us for a special day of free admission to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, made possible by the generous support of the Daniels Fund. This event is part of Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day, a statewide initiative dedicated to increasing youth participation in organized sports.

What to Expect:

Meet Team USA Athletes

Don’t miss the chance to meet and interact with some of America’s greatest athletes. Hear their inspiring stories and learn about the impact of sports on their lives.

  • Tyler Carter (10 – 11:30 a.m.) – Paralympian (Para alpine skiing)
  • Melissa Stockwell (10 – 11:30 a.m.) – Paralympian (Paratriathlon, Para swimming)
  • Adeline Gray (11 a.m. – 12 p.m.) – Olympian (Wrestling)
  • Jenny Arthur (1 – 2:30 p.m.) – Olympian (Weightlifting)
  • Patrick Halgren (1 – 2:30 p.m.) – Paralympian (Para swimming)
  • Hailey Danz (2 – 3:30 p.m.) – Paralympian (Paratriathlon)
  • Dennis Bowsher (2 – 3:30 p.m.) – Olympian (Modern Pentathlon)

This gallery is dedicated to inspiring visitors and encouraging youth participation in sports. Now on display is the newly added exhibit, Beyond the Podium: Celebrating the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame where inspiration comes to life with the remarkable milestones and stories of these legendary athletes, encouraging young visitors to embrace perseverance, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of their own dreams.

Games History Hour – Collecting and Preserving Games History

September 9 @ 9:00 am – 10:00 am

Join the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum for Games History Hour, a free virtual series that connects fans, Olympic & Paralympic lovers, and Museum supporters to explore the rich history of the Olympic and Paralympic Games

This month, discover the vital role collectors play in preserving Olympic & Paralympic artifacts, stories, and traditions, ensuring these legacies are protected and passed down to future generations.

The session is moderated by Lindsay Huban, USOPM’s Chief Content & Integration Officer, and features expert insights from:

  • Gordy Crawford – Olympic Collector and Chairman of U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation, 2013
  • Jonathan Becker – Board of Trustees President of the Lake Placid Olympic Museum, and Board of Directors Treasurer of the Olympian Collectors Club Games History Hour
  • Karen Rosen – Olympic Journalist and Collector

Colorado Resident Saturdays

Every Saturday at 3:00 pm

Every Saturday starting September 13 at 3 p.m. until May 23, 2026, Colorado residents can purchase admission tickets for $10 each with a Colorado ID. Residents can also bring out-of-state guests, who will receive a 20% discount on admission. The last ticket is sold at 4 p.m.
