Veterans Appreciation Week // Nov. 11-14

All veterans and active duty receive free admission with id

In recognition of Veterans Day later this week, we’re honored to provide complimentary admission to all veterans and active-duty military from Thursday, Nov. 11 through Sunday, Nov. 14 with military ID.

Guests can also join Paralympian Melissa Stockwell for a special Veterans Day program at 11:00 a.m. in the Mary K. Chapman special events space, followed by a public autograph and book signing in the Atrium from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Both events are free to members and Museum ticket holders for Nov. 13. Register today. Stockwell is a three-time Paralympian, having competed in Para triathlon and Para swimming, and she is a former U.S. Army officer.

40 years later, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Digital Museum looks back at key events and moments from Lake Placid 1980, where the U.S. Men's Ice Hockey Team pulled off the Miracle on Ice and speed skater Eric Heiden won an unprecedented five gold medals.
