The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum Festival in celebration of the 2025 Hall of Fame Induction was a historic event honoring sport, legacy, and community. Held July 10–13, the Festival featured 23 events across Olympic City USA and welcomed more than 6,000 guests who came together to celebrate with some of America’s greatest athletes. Saturday alone set a record with over 2,500 guests visiting the Museum, marking the largest single-day attendance in its history.
This four-day celebration featured more than 20 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Famers participating in various activities. Their involvement ranged from hospital visits and youth sports clinics to panels and public meet-and-greets, fueling the Museum’s Greatness Gives Back initiative. On Saturday, nine free youth clinics were held across the city, offering kids the chance to learn directly from Olympic legends in sports such as beach volleyball, swimming, figure skating, and basketball.
The Festival kicked off Thursday with Movie Night, featuring four films screened at different locations throughout the city, including a special showing of Miracle at Fort Carson. Fans of all ages gathered to relive the legendary 1980 U.S. hockey team’s triumph, setting an inspiring tone for the weekend ahead.
Friday evening’s Night at the Museum Fan Experience welcomed the public to an outdoor celebration featuring live music, entertainment, a beer garden, food trucks, and a dazzling light show. After the festivities concluded, the Museum opened its doors for a free evening of exploration. Visitors also explored Beyond the Podium: Celebrating the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame, a temporary exhibit showcasing 34 rare artifacts that highlight the lasting legacy of Hall of Fame inductees.
Throughout the weekend, Hall of Famers met with fans inside the Museum, offering unforgettable opportunities for guests to interact with Olympic and Paralympic legends.
Saturday featured one of the weekend’s most memorable moments: Tales from the Track, a panel discussion with Hall of Famers Tommie Smith, John Carlos, Billy Mills, and Bob Beamon. Moderated by Olympic champion Dan O’Brien, the panel reflected on the intersection of sport and activism, and the enduring relevance of their stories.
Held every two years in conjunction with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the Festival offers a unique opportunity to celebrate greatness, explore legacy, and engage with the values that define Team USA.
