Meet Olympian Jenny Arthur, sports artist Bernard Sandoval, and experience interactive exhibits
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Join the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum on Saturday, November 2, for a full day of programming at Starting Line Saturdays, the museum’s monthly event series that connects guests with the Olympic and Paralympic community. November’s event will feature a meet-and-greet with Olympian Jenny Arthur, live artifact demonstrations, museum trivia, and a special session with acclaimed sports artist and Colorado Springs local, Bernard Sandoval.
Jenny Arthur – 2016 Olympic weightlifter – made history as the first U.S. woman to compete in the 75kg category at the Olympic Games. Known for her strength, discipline, and dedication to her sport, Arthur has inspired countless fans and aspiring athletes.
Bernard Sandoval, a renowned sports artist and Olympic City USA Taskforce member, will offer insights into his creative process and journey. Known for capturing the energy of sports in vivid oil paintings, Bernard will share his techniques and inspiration to preserve the Olympic spirit through art.
