Meet Paralympic Swimmer Ashley Nashleanas
Come meet Ashley and hear her story at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum on August 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
For Dr. Ashley Nashleanas, swimming at the Paralympic level is one of many experiences that shaped her passion and character. An American record holder in the 50M, 100M, and 200M backstroke events for the S11 fully blind category, Nashleanas has competed on national and international stages. When she was 13 years old, Nashleanas discovered the Paralympics through a magazine that featured the most prominent blind female swimmer in the United States at the time. After reading the article, Nashleanas recognized she also could travel the world and set records doing something she loved.
