COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum is thrilled to announce that it has been named a winner in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Attraction for Sports Fans. Earning the second-place spot, this recognition highlights the USOPM’s exceptional offerings for sports enthusiasts and reaffirms its dedication to celebrating the spirit and history of Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

“We are incredibly honored to be recognized as one of the top attractions for sports fans,” said Marisa Wigglesworth, CEO of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum. “This award is a testament to our commitment to celebrating the athletes and stories shaping the Olympic and Paralympic movements. We appreciate all those who have supported us in voting for the museum as the Best Attraction for Sports Fans.”

This accolade marks the third time the USOPM has been celebrated in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The museum was previously named the nation’s Best New Attraction in 2020 and placed among the top attractions for sports fans in 2023, further cementing its reputation as a must-visit for those passionate about sports history and legacy. 

Nominations for the Best Attraction for Sports Fans were carefully curated by a panel of experts and editors from USA TODAY 10Best, followed by a public vote. Finishing second out of 20 finalists, the USOPM stands among the best in the nation. The top 10 winners are:

  3. Kentucky Derby Museum 
  4. College Football Hall of Fame 
  5. Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory
