COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum will offer free admission to all federal employees furloughed due to the government shutdown beginning Saturday, November 8, and continuing until the government reopens. Guests accompanying furloughed employees will receive 50 percent off admission during this period.
Furloughed employees can simply show their government-issued ID at the Museum’s front desk to enjoy complimentary entry. The offer applies to walk-up ticket purchases only.
“The Olympic and Paralympic Movement is grounded in resilience and perseverance—values that resonate especially during uncertain times,” said Marisa Wigglesworth, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum. “We hope the Museum can provide furloughed employees and their families with a meaningful and uplifting experience while they navigate this challenging period.”
Located in downtown Colorado Springs, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum celebrates the achievements of Team USA athletes through interactive exhibits, powerful storytelling, and universal accessibility. Recognized as one of the most inclusive and inspiring museums in the world, the Museum offers guests the opportunity to experience the Olympic and Paralympic spirit firsthand.
