The United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum is proud to introduce its Specialty Tour Series, a collection of guided experiences designed to highlight the inspiring stories of athletes, artifacts and milestones that have shaped the Olympic and Paralympic movements.
These unique 60-minute tours, available at noon during their designated months, provide guests with an in-depth look at the resilience, achievements, and impact of diverse groups within Team USA’s history. The series kicked off in February with the Black History Month Tour, honoring Black athletes who have broken barriers and paved the way for future generations.
Upcoming tours include:
- Women’s History Month Tour (March): Celebrating the remarkable achievements and contributions of women in the Olympic and Paralympic movements. This tour highlights trailblazers who redefined what was possible in sports, from breaking records to advocating for greater opportunities for female athletes. - Military Veterans Tour (May and November): Honoring Team USA athletes who have served in the military. Through their stories, this tour explores the deep connection between service and sport, recognizing athletes who balanced the demands of both while making history on the world’s biggest stage.
- Pride Tour (June): Recognizing LGBTQIA+ athletes and their journey to compete with pride on the world stage. This tour delves into the challenges and triumphs of athletes who have advocated for inclusivity and representation in sports, ensuring that all competitors can be their authentic selves.
- Hall of Fame Tour (July): Showcasing the legacies of U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame inductees. Visitors will learn about the historic moments and achievements that led to these athletes and contributors receiving the highest honor in Team USA’s legacy.
Each Specialty Tour offers a unique lens through which to experience the Museum’s interactive exhibits, rare artifacts, and compelling storytelling. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Museum’s front desk.
