LeRoy Neiman was a showman and said that how he painted was just as important as what he painted. Neiman was easily identified on location, with his handlebar mustache, bright clothing and cigar in his mouth.
The Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch was inspired by the Sydney Opera House, the blue of the Pacific Ocean and the boomerang. Its three layers represented the earth, wind and fire.
The Atlanta 1996 Olympic Torch included 22 aluminum reeds, one for each modern Olympic Games, and traveled more than 15,000 miles and went into space during its Torch Relay.
